Our cattery has been designed to give each cat a safe and calm environment so they can feel totally relaxed during their stay. Every enclosure is completely enclosed and secure.
To make life easier for you we can collect your pet from your house in our doggy van and then deliver them back to you at the end of their stay. Please contact us for a quote.

Purpose built, safe, comfortable, and calm environment. No traditional metal bars in our dog apartments. One apartment can house up to 4 dogs (depending on size). We have 4 apartments with inter connecting doors for a larger family of dogs. Each dog apartment is cleaned daily and at the end of a dogs stay each apartment along with the bed and bedding are fully cleaned and disinfected so they are clean and ready for the next dog. During their stay with us your dog can either be fed our own dry complete food or if you prefer you can bring your own food and you will receive a 5% discount.

Exercise is important for your dogs well being, the dogs are exercised in fully fenced grass paddocks, they are let out into these paddocks at frequent intervals throughout the day. Extra walks can be provided for an extra cost. You are very welcome to bring any treats, toys, bedding, blankets etc with your dog, whatever it takes to make them feel at home. We can also administer any medication your dog may need at no extra cost, and we take great care with medication as we understand how important this is.

In our cattery each cat finds a safe and calm environment divided by a solid partition with shelves at different heights and ramps keep them active. There is a scratch post, toys to play with and a lovely comfy bed to relax in. There is background music played all day.

Laura studied Animal Care at Bishop Burton Agricultural College for four years and graduated with a National Diploma in Animal Care and a Higher National Diploma in animal care (zoology and behavioural science). While working in a prestigious boarding kennel establishment in England she became a qualified dog hydrotherapist and opened a very successful pool.
Laura owned a horse, which she has owned for 25 years, he sadly passed away in 2020 at the grand old age of 32. Sunny was his name but Laura gave him a nickname of Merrylegs after the little cheeky pony on black beauty. The name stuck and when the family were trying to think of a name for the business they decided to name it after Sunny aka Merrylegs. Sunny's legacy will always live on with us.
Merrylegs Logo is a picture of one of Laura´s water dogs Harry. He was an amazing dog and is champion in over 10 different countries. Harry also sadly passed away in 2020 so using him as our logo means we will always remember him and honor him.

Our dog apartments are purpose built. We built three rooms each with 7 apartments in, the doors are Perspex with a half glass feature on the top to allow the dogs to see out. The apartments create a real home from home environment for your beloved dog with a suitably sized bed and a nice piece of fluffy vet bed. The Dogs are exercised in fully fenced grass paddocks, and they are let out into these paddocks at frequent intervals throughout the day.
